Job Security
100 new plumbers needed on average every month!
Most people want job security, especially in a downturn, and plumbing appears to be recession-proof for our fully qualified trainees.
During the current downturn 100% of our fully qualifying trainees are still being placed in jobs and we expect this to continue.
The 2009 forecast by the Government’s Construction Skills Network confirms thousands of new plumbers are still needed, with over 100 being required on average every month from 2009 to 2013. Of these 20% are needed to replace plumbers either going abroad or retiring. Many of our trainees qualify and then travel or emigrate using their City & Guilds qualifications that are recognised in over 100 countries.
Job Placement
Our in-house placement team has a dedicated Placement Team providing job placement assistance and has over 100 associated plumbing and construction companies registered at each of our Centres, where they aim to place our qualifying male and female trainees. You are of course free to start a job you find yourself or start your own plumbing business at any time.
Job interviews and placement may be arranged upon completion of Level 3 and a short module. At this early, part-qualified stage, our team will help by ensuring your CV highlights your new qualifications and will give you specialist interview training, if needed. We will also assist you once qualified.
Average earnings of £31,495 are predicted for plumbers this year by City & Guilds which is £605 a week with top earners getting as much as £40,523 or £780 a week. New plumbers will probably need some experience before achieving these figures especially if only partly qualified. Running a successful plumbing business could, of course, produce even higher rewards and if the career progression route for plumbers is followed to become a Property, Housing or Land Manager, top earners are predicted to earn £70,576 a year which is £1,357 a week!

You become a respected professional with a lifetime skill in long term demand with job security in an apparently recession-resistant industry, predicted earnings of around £31,500 to £40,500 with some experience, and valuable qualifications recognised worldwide.
